Fire weather watch for part of Pennsylvania until Friday evening

On Friday at 4:09 a.m. a fire weather watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Friday between noon and 7 p.m. for Southern Centre, Southern Clinton and Southern Lycoming as well as Blair, Huntingdon, Bedford, Fulton, Franklin, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland, Columbia, Perry, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster counties.

Winds are expected to be west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph and relative humidity as low as 29 percent.



"Critical fire weather conditions are possible. Increased risk for rapid wildfire growth and spread. Prescribed burns may get out of control," describes the weather service.
