The power is out in a Gloucester neighborhood on Saturday following a three alarm fire at a duplex on Washington Street. The Gloucester Fire Department said the fire started around noon Saturday. Gloucester's fire chief said the flames were under control Saturday evening, but because of the wind, they haven't been able to put the fire out completely.
One family was home at the time of the fire, but they made it out safely. Fire officials said the home is likely a total loss and the house next door was also damaged. Part of Washington Street is closed while crews work to maintain the fire.
It could remain partially closed until Monday morning..
