OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Following a historic fire weather event on Friday that saw hurricane-force winds and more than 130 wildfires across the state, the fire threat persists into Saturday, albeit under less extreme conditions.The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from 1 PM to 9 PM Saturday, as gusty winds and low relative humidity continue to create critical fire weather conditions.Expect overcast skies throughout the day, with high temperatures near 60°.

Winds will be from the northwest at 10-15 mph, occasionally gusting up to 25-30 mph.Tonight, clouds will gradually clear, allowing temperatures to drop into the low 30s, bringing a chilly but calm night ahead.By Sunday, expect a significant improvement in conditions.



Mostly sunny skies will return, with highs reaching the mid-60s. Winds will be much lighter, around 5-10 mph, providing a welcome break from the fire-fueling gusts..
