FIR lodged against landlady, aides for threatening tenant

Times News Network Ludhiana: A woman, her relatives and their aides have been booked for attacking her tenant and his family in Sant Vihar area of Haibowal. The accused allegedly also flashed a gun and threatened them to vacate the house. The FIR has been lodged on the statements of Ravi Ahuja, 34, who lives in a rented accommodation.

The accused include Lata, the landlady, her two sisters, her niece and at least 15 other unidentified accomplices. The victim said that he, along with his family, has been living in the rented accommodation, owned by Lata, for the past two years. A few days ago, Lata suddenly asked them to vacate the house.



He asked Lata to give her some time so he could find the new accommodation. “However, Lata kept on harassing me and my wife to vacate the house. We also had an argument over it as I was unable to leave the house immediately without finding another accommodation.

However, Lata, along with her two sisters, and a niece barged into our room and threatened us,” Ravi said. He said, “They all attacked me and my wife and asked us to vacate the house. Meanwhile, at least 15 unidentified aides of the woman also barged inside the house, one of whom flashed a gun and threatened us to leave.

The accused, then, escaped from the spot.
