Fionnán Sheahan: ‘Micro-manager’ Micheál Martin is in a real hurry and is ‘dictating housing policy’ as Taoiseach 2.0

There’s been a noticeable pattern to the row of ministers sitting behind Micheál Martin in the Dáil. Somehow there seems to be several of the few female ministers sitting in what is known as “the doughnut” – the frame that is seen on TV. Government Chief Whip Mary Butler sits directly behind the Taoiseach, as is the norm for the holder of that office.
