Final Outpost: Definitive Edition Got a New Demo for the Steam Next Fest

Try the Updated Demo of Final Outpost: Definitive EditionToday, the indie game studio Exabyte Games has announced a brand-new demo for their base-builder colony, Final Outpost: Definitive Edition. This major update of the demo will be arriving on 23rd February, just in time for the upcoming Steam Next Fest. You can check out the full change log right here.

The update brings a fresh look with a new splash screen and an animated main menu, featuring an original theme by Ben Randall. The soundtrack now includes new cutscene music and four ambient tracks that enhance the in-game atmosphere. Controller and keyboard glyphs have been added, along with a shortcut for enabling infinite assign mode in the job menu.



Players also get a sneak peek at the upcoming modifier system, where settling a new Outpost will earn collectible stamps.The demo highlights exclusive features from the Definitive Edition, including a trading system, two difficulty modes, save checkpoints, a 7.5x speed-up option, leaderboards, and a new scoring system.

It also brings UI and environment upgrades, cloud saving, controller support, widescreen support, and a new building called the Radio Tower. Players can play up to the start of the first Winter, but there is more. The new scoring system lets them compete with friends to build the best Outpost before time runs out.

Final Outpost launched on Steam as a hobby project in 2020 and has since been downloaded over a million times.
