Pune: The sixth and final round of centralised admission process (CAP) for admissions to first year of junior colleges in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad will commence on Wednesday, wherein students may submit their forms online until Sept 21. The final allotment list will be declared on Sept 24. Assistant director of education, Pune division, Jyoti Parihar said students who had not yet applied for admission were also eligible.

"Applicants must fill in and verify part I of the form and then fill in at least 10 preferred courses/schools in part II. Alternatively, students who have not been allotted any colleges yet or did not take admissions despite allotments may also refill their part II form and apply for the sixth round," she said. Part II of the form is "unlocked" — hence, it is mandatory for students, who want to participate in the special round, to re-lock their preference applications online, she said.

"Students who were not allowed to participate in the regular rounds can participate now. Those interested in quota admission may apply for online admissions which are also occurring simultaneously with the CAP round . They can also apply for bifocal subjects on the same dates.

The detailed schedule is on the official admission website," Parihar added. Until 6pm between Sept 24 and 25, students can confirm their admissions in allotted schools or junior colleges by clicking their login ID, then clicking on proceed for admission tab, uploading the required documents and going to the allotted school. Parihar further said this would be the last CAP round, after which admissions based on a first-come, first-serve basis would start in colleges with vacant seats.

"However, the detailed schedule and process of admissions will be declared later," she added..
