Fiji Airways men’s 7s head coach, Osea Kolinisau, expressed his excitement about the possibility of selecting one or two players from the Fiji Bitter Kadavu Sevens to join the national squad. The tournament was held at Namalata Primary School grounds in Vunisea, Kadavu yesterday, showcasing the immense talent of local players representing their clubs. Kolinisau emphasised the high level of talent displayed during the competition, with standout performances from some players catching his eye.
He mentioned the importance of players competing against each other and raising the bar for competition. “Its good to see a lot of talent here in Kadavu and also a lot of the boys (national players) are playing for their own clubs,” said Kolinisau. “Its good to see them hitting it out here, with other boys.
“There is a lot of talent out here in Kadavu, and their are some that are really standed out.” Acknowledging the abundance of talent in Kadavu, the coach expressed his enjoyment of observing the players and hinted at the potential inclusion of new faces in the national squad. “I’m enjoying what I’m seeing, and probably maybe we will have some new faces maybe one or two joining the squad.
” He praised the players for their dedication and commitment to the sport, commending Fiji Bitter for sponsoring the tournament.
