FIFA has revealed the look of the official FIFA Club World Cup trophy, which will be awarded for the first time at the 2025 tournament in the United States, which holds from June 15 to July 13, reports insidethegames.biz. The event will be held at 12 world-class venues across 11 cities, with the final taking place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The new trophy, created by FIFA in collaboration with luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co, will be presented to the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup winners. Describing the trophy, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, said: “Innovative, inclusive, groundbreaking and truly global, the new 32-team FIFA Club World Cup deserves a trophy that represents all of this. It is both prestigious and timeless – a golden trophy that is a symbol of the future and inspired by the past.

” He added, “The team who lift this trophy will hold the world of club football in their hands. To the players who win it, history belongs to you. Let’s take it to the world and celebrate it as we look forward to the start of a new era for football when the one and only FIFA club world champions lift the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in New York New Jersey on 13 July 2025.

” Tiffany & Co CEO, Anthony Ledru commented, “With a legacy dating back 160 years, Tiffany & Co. has crafted some of the most iconic championship trophies in history, setting the standard for craft and design. The FIFA Club World Cup trophy is the next chapter in our long history of creating the world’s most revered symbols of athletic achievement.

” The FIFA Club World Cup trophy features a 24-carat gold-plated finish and intricate laser-engraved inscriptions on both sides, showcasing football’s rich history. These include a world map, the names of all 211 FIFA Member Associations, and symbols of football traditions like stadiums and equipment. It also includes engravings in 13 languages and Braille, emphasising the inclusive nature of the global game.

It has space to engrave the emblems of the winning clubs for 24 editions and features an adaptable design that transforms from a shield into a multifaceted, orbital structure. The design of the FIFA Club World Cup trophy is inspired by various elements, including the Voyager Golden Records from NASA’s 1970s deep-space missions, the periodic table, maps of pioneering journeys, and astronomy. Celebrating both the past and the future of football, the trophy features celestial symbols representing the positions of planets at the time of FIFA’s founding on May 21, 1904, in Paris, and the opening match of the tournament on June 15, 2025, in Miami, with Inter Miami having already qualified for the tournament.

An inspiring message is engraved on the trophy, reading, “To those who hold this trophy, history belongs to you! You are witness to a moment in time that represents the pinnacle of club football, bestowed upon few but celebrated by many.” This inscription honours the legends of the past while inspiring future champions. Each winning team will receive a replica of the FIFA Club World Cup trophy, engraved with details of their victory.

This official Winner’s Trophy mirrors the original in craftsmanship, construction, and scale, featuring nameplates with club emblems and victory dates. The FIFA Club World Cup trophy will be unveiled in its physical form on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the tournament draw in Miami, USA..
