JOHANNESBURG: A young woman spectator in the fourth T20 match between India and South Africa suffered a mighty blow after the ball hit for six by Sanju Samson landed on her face. The incident came in the second ball of the tenth over by Tristan Stubbs. The game saw Sanju back in trailblazing form hitting another century.
When Stubbs' over started, Sanju was at the crease with 46 off 27 balls. The Malayali player completed his half-century by hitting the bowl over the boundary line for a six. Sanju again powered the ball to another boundary and this ended up in the wrong place.
The ball first hit a security official and then struck the young woman’s face. Somebody rushed to the lady with an ice pack and offered immediate treatment, By this time, the big screen started showing the visuals of the lady in tears, pressing the ice back on her bruised face. After watching the visual from the ground, Sanju waved his hands to the lady to express his apology.
