‘Inside Out 2’ has finally arrived in theaters. The sequel comes nearly ten years after Disney and Pixar released the original film. The first movie followed 11-year-old Riley and her emotions, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust.

Now Riley is a teenager heading to hockey camp before starting high school. Her mind welcomes five new emotions: Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, Embarrassment, and Nostalgia. Returning Emotional Favorites Amy Poehler returns as Joy, the first emotion to appear in Riley's mind.

Poehler called playing Joy "an incredible gift" at the film's premiere. She added, "It's changed me a lot. I'm very grateful to be back.

" Phyllis Smith reprises her role as Sadness. Her character entered Riley's mind just after Joy and represents sorrow and pessimism. Lewis Black is back as the fiery Anger.

He told NBC that returning for the sequel was "great" and praised Pixar . "They have a huge respect for actors, which is unusual. It was really a pleasure.

" Tony Hale replaces Bill Hader as Fear in the sequel. "I did a lot of screaming, which is actually fun," Hale told TODAY.com.

He believes the franchise helps break the negative stigma around emotions. "They all are playing a role, they're all trying to help." Liza Lapira takes over from Mindy Kaling as Disgust.

The judgmental and opinionated emotion tries to protect Riley from social embarrassment. Lapira called the experience "a highlight of my career." New Emotions Enter the Mind Maya Hawke, who starred in "Stranger Things," will join the ensemble of Anxiety.

This character is nervous and controlling. This character even carries a number of "baggage," if you like. Hawke told The Hollywood Reporter, "It's such an honor to be part of something that's like this.

" Latest on the list- Ayo Edebiri, Envy, is introducing the small, wide-eyed character. She is envious of others' possessions. Voice fans praised her voice acting capabilities as they caught a glimpse of the recording room at Pixar.

Ennui is portrayed by French actress Adèle Exarchopoulos. The character represents boredom and is often seen lying on a couch. She helps Riley ignore things that aren't worth her time.

Embarrassment is voiced by Paul Walter Hauser, failing to mask his shyness, his character finds some comfort in taking refuge under his hoodie whenever socially awkward situations arise. Hauser praised how the animation team made the characters complement their voice actors, indeed. Nostalgia is played by the Oscar nominee June Squibb, the oldest emotion inside Riley's head.

Nostalgia constantly goes around harking back to the past, most of which happened just moments ago. The Impact of Emotions The "Inside Out" franchise explains complex human emotions in easy terms and makes them enjoyable for all age groups. Hale explained that "If I attempt to push away emotions, they gain strength.

If I accept them, they fight for me." This sequel tries to reach into teenage emotions with a bit of sensitivity and humor to show that new emotions kick in as we grow older. The great thing about this movie is that it teaches that each and every kind of emotion is of some importance.

Behind the Voice Acting Process Recording the voice for an animated characte r entails its own set of problems. The actors have to communicate everything just through their voices. Hale talked about the liberty of "going into a voiceover booth and letting loose and allowing it to create fear.

" Playing these various emotional characters worked some magic on each of the actors. Poehler found that being the character Joy changed her considerably. Lapira surpassed even her "really high expectations" of the experience.

Henceforth, "Inside Out 2" gives us a perspective on our personal emotional experiences on screen. The talented voice cast brings lively, vibrant characters to life, while their performances allow audiences of all ages to fully understand the range of emotions that each one of us experiences..
