Fearne Cotton has announced that she has split from her husband of 10 years, Jesse Wood. It's shaping up to be a tough month for the presenter, who had surgery just a few days ago. She broke the news to fans in an Instagram post yesterday (December 13), telling them that the decision to end the marriage was one they made "with a heavy heart".

She wrote: "It is with a heavy heart that | let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. Our priority has been, and will always be, our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time.

" Fearne first met Jesse, the son of Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood, while she was in Ibiza in 2011. By 2013, they had already welcomed their first child Rex. They tied the knot in 2014, surrounded by family and some famous friends, including Holly Willoughby and Keith Lemon.

A year later, they announced the birth of their daughter Honey. Speaking on her Happy Place podcast, Fearne said: "I am a very fiery person, and Jesse can also be quite fiery.

We’ve certainly argued in front of the kids. Most parents have at some point. "It’s not regular but we have definitely had a pop at each other in front of them — and you don’t feel good about it after.

" The announcement of their split comes just days after the podcast host revealed that she had a benign tumour in her jaw and would be undergoing surgery to have it removed. She said: "I’ve got a benign tumour just in my jaw here, below my ear, another little tiny one above it. I’m very grateful they’re benign but they do need to come out because they’re on a nerve.

" Following the operation, which she said was a success, the star said she was feeling "wiped out". She said: "Operation went really well. Recovering and resting.

Thanks so much for all the kind messages." In another post, she added: "Resting at home. Feel pretty wiped out but on the mend.

Professor O'Flynn did the neatest job and was simply amazing at making me feel calm about the whole thing. Any good TV suggestions, get them in.".
