According to sources, the deadlock between the government and Maulana Fazlur Rahman has ended. Fazl while issuing instructions to the his party lawmakers said that the JUI-F senators should support the draft and vote in the parliament. The JUI-F chief said that they will support the draft, which was consulted with him.

Earlier, the federal Cabinet has approved the 26th constitutional amendment in an important meeting today. According to local TV, a federal Cabinet meeting was held at the Parliament House under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Before the federal cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with President Asif Ali Zardari in which detailed consultations were held on the constitutional amendment and the president was taken into confidence.



Speaking after the meeting, Federal Minister Musadik Malik said that the government has approved draft of the 26th constitutional amendment. The Cabinet also okayed the draft which was made by the PPP, the government and the coalition parties, he added..
