Fawad Khan returns to Bollywood with "Abir Gulaal," co-starring Vaani Kapoor. The song teaser "Khudaya Ishq" is now out. Fawad Khan will soon be making his Bollywood comeback with the movie, Abir Gulaal, which will also star Vaani Kapoor in the lead.
While fans are eagerly waiting for the romantic drama, makers have now shared a teaser of their film’s song Khudaya Ishq. In the teaser, Vaani Kapoor and Fawad Khan look lost in each other as they walk towards one another. It also reads the text, “Bringing Love Back".
Sharing the teaser on her Instagram handle, Vaani Kapoor wrote, “et ready for the love anthem of the year! ‘Khudaya Ishq’ is almost here! 💖🎶Bringing love back with Abir Gulaal." Check it out here: Abir Gulaal is directed by Aarti S and marks Fawad’s comeback to Bollywood after his 2016 movie, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. While the film is scheduled to hit theatres on May 9, it has also been facing backlash.
Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has opposed the film’s release in Maharashtra because of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s casting. “We only learned about this film’s release today when the makers announced it. But we are making it clear that we will not allow this film to be released in Maharashtra because it features a Pakistani actor.
Under no circumstances will we permit such films to be released in the state. We are gathering more information about the film and will soon issue a full statement," MNS spokesperson Ameya Khopkar told Dainik Bhaskar previously. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam also reacted to the controversy and urged the central government to form a policy with regarding to working of Pakistani actors in India.
