Father cited after gun found in student's backpack in Sacramento

Sacramento police on Monday said they arrested a student who brought a handgun to school last week. The arrest was on Friday, a day when many schools across the nation, including in Northern California, responded to social media threats encouraging violence at schools. The student's father was cited for improper storage of a firearm.
