Fatehpur triple murder: Sixth accused held

1 2 Prayagraj: Fatehpur police on Friday claimed to have arrested another accused wanted in connection with the Akhari triple murder case. With this, the Fatehpur police claimed to have arrested all the six suspects, including two prime accused. The latest suspect to be arrested was identified was identified as Vivek Kumar Paswan alias Pathak (30) of Tahirapur.

Police also recovered a countrymade pistol of 0.12 bore, along with one live and one used cartridge, and Rs 170 cash from his possession. Senior police officials said they are now planning to invoke Gangsters Act against all six accused, including Piyush Singh, Sajjan Singh, Suresh alias Munnu Singh, Bhupendra, Gyan Singh alias Vipul Singh and Vivek Kumar Paswan, and would attach their properties.



Mobile police parties are still patrolling in Akhari and adjoining villages to maintain law and order. To recall, three members of a gram pradhan's family were allegedly shot dead by a rival group over an old political enmity at Akhari village in Fatehpur on Tuesday morning. The deceased were identified as Vinod Singh alias Pappu Singh (50), his son Abhay Pratap Singh (22), and his younger brother Anup Singh alias Pinku (42).
