Alan Dobson, 38, spun of web of twisted lies while love-bombing a string of partners many of whom he dated at the same time after meeting on online dating sites.
Many of them revealed how he was obsessed with having unprotected sex , claiming he was infertile after a historic farming accident. One woman had a miscarriage after falling pregnant and said she discovered he was cheating on her after he turned up at the hospital with another woman. Some agreed to marry him and one had a child with him and others were forced to get checked for sexually transmitted diseases after discovering his past.
Dobson, from Sauchie, Clackmannanshire targeted the women, who are all in their 30s and 40s, claiming that his father was a gynaecologist at NHS Fife and he had a lookalike brother to avoid being caught cheating. Five women who met him on sites like Badoo and Match.com spoke to the Sunday Mail to reveal their lives had been ruined by the emotional and psychological abuse and called him a danger to the public.
One mum, who dated Dobson between August and October this year, said: “What he is doing may not be considered criminal but his deception is causing so much hurt to so many women. “While I was dating him, I got a message from this woman who begged me to stay away from him as he was a prolific liar and cheater. “Another lady then got in touch and asked me if she could invite me into a Whatsapp group call.
There were three or four other women on the call who were dating him or had dated him. “Women on that call spoke about sexually transmitted diseases and it scared me to death because he had told me he wanted to have kids but couldn’t because of a previous farm accident and therefore sex was unprotected. “He love bombs you, quickly tells you he loves you, wants to marry you.
His lies affect so many lives, not to mention he is putting women’s lives and health at risk.” “He said he was a farmer and his Facebook was all pictures of wheat, tractors and farming equipment. “I contacted the farmer who owned the farm where he said he worked.
He told me he knew of him but hadn’t heard from him in 15 years. “People should know who he is and what he does because so many people have been affected by his lies.” A mum-of-six, who dated Dobson from January to September, did not know his past when she discovered she was pregnant in July.
The mum said: “He is a liar and a cheat, he’s on every dating app and I think he is a danger to the public. “He told me he couldn’t have kids but I then fell pregnant in July. When I did, he wasn’t pleased.
“I had a miscarriage in August and two weeks later had to go back for a checkup for a gynaecology issue. “He also told me his dad was the head gynaecologist there and had treated me which horrified me. That turned out to be totally untrue.
“Alan said he was working and couldn’t come but said I might see his brother and his wife at the hospital . It turned out it was actually him and his fiancée. “The hurt he has caused so many women.
There will be plenty more women whose lives have been turned upside down by his lies and it needs to stop.” Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland.

She posted his photograph on a Facebook page called Cheaters in September and was inundated with responses - including one from a woman who said her mother had been dating him for three years. The Facebook post was also seen by Hellen, from Girvan , who dated Dobson in 2014 and was horrified the love rat was still duping women. The 47-year-old said: “I couldn’t believe he was still doing this to women.
When we were together he said he was a farmer but he could never stay around for long and I suspected he was seeing someone else. “He had a child already, he spoke about the child frequently. He wanted to have unprotected sex a lot.
“My friend found a Facebook page of his and it turned out he had numerous Facebook pages. I confronted him and he blocked me. “I was so hurt.
He tells you he loves you and wants to be with you. “I want women to be aware, I don’t want any other women going through what I did. He doesn’t care.
” Another mum, 48, who dated Dobson for a year after meeting him online in February 2022 says he also told her that he was infertile and wanted unprotected sex. She said: “He told he couldn’t have kids as he had been caught on an electric fence which I now know is a lie. “I had issues caused by perimenopause and he loved the fact I was having to be seen by a gynaecologist, which at one point he told me was his dad.
“In the end I caught him speaking to three different women. “My friend also spoke to a barmaid in a pub who showed her Alan’s picture and said she was going on a date with him, while I was in a relationship with him. “He is a born liar.
He’s preying on women when they are vulnerable. There are so many women he has hurt.” Another mum, who met Dobson on Badoo in October last year, broke up with him in February after he lied to her about coming to the aid of a dead relative after a railway incident.
She said: “He told me he couldn’t have kids. I was seeing a gynaecologist at the hospital who he told me was actually his dad. One night he came to my house and asked me who a photograph was of and I told him it was of a relative who had died on the railway.
“He said he had worked on the railway at that time and had helped pick up his body. He told me ‘he was in bits’ and I was utterly horrified as I’d identified the body and knew that wasn’t true. I knew then he was a compulsive liar.
” We also spoke to the relative of a sixth woman Dobson had previously dated who said: “Dobson is not welcome here. He lives a double, triple or quadruple life.” When confronted by the Sunday Mail, Dobson admitted he had lied to multiple women and claimed he wanted to turn over a new leaf.
He said: “I’ve done a lot of bad things in my life. I’ve cheated , we’ve all cheated. “We’ve all made mistakes.
I regret it but I want to make a fresh start and a new life. Is this going to be in the paper? “I want to move on with my life but all this is being dragged up. I’ve moved away now for a fresh start.
” Dobson’s elderly dad confirmed he was not a gynaecologist and shook his head when told by our reporter that his son had admitted to all the women’s claims. Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond. Sign up to our daily newsletter .
