FARGO — The Easter Bunny (and area parents) will get a little help delivering eggs this year. Hillary Ehlen and her husband, John Kelly, are offering to fill plastic eggs with candy and toys and then hide them in your yard April 19, the night before Easter. The couple got the idea from TikTok.

"So, we actually saw a TikTok video of a girl out of Dallas, I think, and she was explaining the idea and said she’d been doing it for a few years," Ehlen said. "I thought it sounded like a great idea, so I started looking online. I didn’t find anyone doing that here, so I thought why not give it a try?" Even though they don't have kids of their own, Ehlen said they know how much work parents put in behind the scenes to make a holiday magical.

"This is a way we can help people out. We have the time and resources. If I can take one thing off their plate, I’m happy to help," Ehlin said.

The "Egg My Yard" service has been offered in many communities across the U.S., sometimes as a fundraiser with proceeds going to a specific cause.

Ehlen and Kelly recently launched "Egg My Yard Fargo" Facebook and Instagram pages. From there, interested parties can click a link to a Google sheet where they can place their order. The couple will then email them a link to pay via Venmo.

The cost is $1 per egg. The eggs will be hidden after 7 p.m.

Saturday, April 19. The service is available to families living in Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo and Horace, N.D.
