. A loss that will never be forgotten." The post has confirmed the end of Satam’s role, which became a household name since the first episode aired in January 1998.
Fans reacted strongly, leaving thousands of angry comments, worried that the character’s exit could mean the show’s end. A post shared by Sony Entertainment Television (@sonytvofficial) The latest CID episode showed ACP Pradyuman chasing a criminal named Barboza, played by Tigmanshu Dhulia. Barboza traps the ACP, and an explosion happens, implying his death.

I have taken a break for sometime and the makers know what lies ahead in the show. I have learnt to take everything in my stride and if my track is over, I am okay with it. However, I have not been told whether my track is over or not! As of now I am not shooting for the show," Satam told Bombay Times.
Meanwhile, fans are upset about the announcement, with some even taking offence to the way it was revealed to the audience. Some called the post "disrespectful" as it can be confused with the passing of the actor himself. "What is this???? Do we really need this post? Really you are going to end this character, the Era of cid which we cherish,the perfect trio," one user commented.
