By Evolve Editors Rumors about Taylor Swift releasing new songs or an album in 2025 have been growing after a comment from Swedish DJ Jacob Criborn surfaced. Although the teaser was quickly removed by Universal Music Sweden, many are wondering whether the rumors are true. Here are all the details.

Rumors of Taylor Swift releasing new songs in 2025 have resurfaced after a now-deleted interview clip sparked fresh speculation. In a video shared by Universal Music Sweden, Swedish DJ Jacob Criborn casually mentioned, “We’re just finishing Taylor Swift’s album.” He did so while discussing his work with conductor Erik Arvinder.

Fan accounts quickly picked up the clip and widely shared on social media. However, Universal abruptly removed the clip, which fueled fan theories. With Swift currently off tour and staying out of the spotlight, the sudden removal of the clip led many to believe she may be taking a short break before returning with new music.

Fans speculated that the removal was intentional, possibly to prevent any leaks ahead of an official announcement. The removal of the interview clip has fueled speculation that Swift may be using her current break to work on a new album. Many fans now believe she is preparing for a comeback later this year.

Earlier reports from Express UK added more fuel to the speculation. A source close to Swift claimed she is in the early stages of creating an album. This album is allegedly scheduled for release at the end of 2025.

According to the insider, Swift had been writing songs backstage while on tour. The source said, “People who have heard some of the ideas say it’s inspired by a lot of what she’s been through, including her relationship with Travis and changes in her friendships, specifically Blake Lively.” The report also mentioned that AEG, her tour promoter, has been advised to prepare for another tour in 2026.
