A recent Instagram post from Gwyneth Paltrow gave followers a look inside her Montecito home when fans were caught by surprise.

Gwyneth Paltrow shared a glimpse into her $5 million Montecito mansion this week, showing off a laid-back morning at home while cooking scrambled eggs, matzo for Passover, and sausages in the kitchen . The GOOP founder wore a loose blue striped pajama top and went without bottoms, but followers weren’t focused on her outfit. The detail that caught most people’s attention was a brief cameo from her ivory-colored dog, Gaucho.

A mirror selfie revealed her minimalist setup: black desk, gray chair, candle, and neatly styled clothes. The kitchen, a standout in the tour, was inspired by her years living in the UK. “I think having spent so much time as an ex-pat in Europe, and really falling in love with Georgian proportions, and those kind of details, I really wanted the entryway to feel like its own special room,” she explained.

“And so with the architects we conceived of having a fireplace...

it just gives this really nice feeling of warmth and welcome as you come in.”.
