According to Page Six, the issue began when the Wondery network, the company behind the podcast, sent out a listener survey.
While some of the questions were expected, such as those about the Kelce family dynamic and football-specific commentary and analysis of games, others felt more personal. In particular, fans noticed that Taylor Swift’s name appeared several times in the form. The survey asked listeners to select three reasons why they tune in to the podcast.
Several of the options focused directly on Swift’s relationship with Travis. One of the options reportedly read, “I was drawn to the prospect of hearing details and clues about Taylor Swift’s life and her relationship with Travis." Screenshots were shared across social media, with many Swifties accusing Wondery of trying to take advantage of the couple’s relationship for marketing purposes. One fan tweeted, “wondery+ doing a survey to see if exploiting Travis’ love life would be worth it is disgusting.
" Another pointed out that the Kelce brothers may not have had anything to do with it, writing, “This is a Wondery thing. ..
. Jason and Travis are not creating this survey." As the criticism grew, the survey was quietly updated.
The romance-related questions, including those about Swift, were removed after the backlash. While Travis and Taylor’s relationship has remained in the spotlight ever since it became public, fans are making it clear that they want the couple to have some boundaries, especially when it comes to media and marketing efforts. For now, the Kelce brothers haven’t commented on the situation.
