Broadcaster TNT Sports enlisted the help of Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and fellow Hollywood stars Jon Bernthal to promote this year's edition of the tournament. It saw TNT collaborate with Affleck and Bernthal ahead of their upcoming film The Accountant 2 - which comes out on April 25.

' A second wrote: 'They say snooker like Welsh people. So funny them saying the iconic Crucible theatre. 'I suspect neither had ever heard of the Crucible until that moment.
' A further comment read : “Surely they playing into it a bit here haha one forty seven.” A fourth posted: “Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal are promoting the ‘world snucker championships’. What’s ‘snucker’? I only know snooker.
” While Kyren Wilson is the defending champion, Mark Selby and Judd Trump are among bookmakers' favourites for victory. The sport's move to TNT comes after previous broadcaster Eurosport ceased operations earlier this year - while the tournament will also be shown on free to air television across the BBC. .
