The battalion’s commanding officer Lt-Col Shahrin Mohd Nahrawi, who officiated at the simple opening ceremony, hailed the gathering as being ‘reflective of the unity and strong camaraderie among the troops and their families’.

“This Family Day is crucial in fostering a sense of togetherness and strengthening the bonds among the regiment members, as well as appreciating our families. “My thanks go to all of you for your participation and efforts in making this event a success,” he said. Various activities took place throughout the day such as photo-taking sessions, a mass aerobics session conducted by DZ Fitness, sports and games involving all those attending, a karaoke session, as well as the highlight of the event, which was the lucky draw offering a variety of attractive prizes.
