LAHORE - As part of preparations for the 35th National Games, the Sports Board Punjab is conducting training camps for 21 disciplines in Lahore, while Faisalabad is hosting camps for kabaddi, taekwondo, volleyball, and handball, announced DG Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry during his visit to various training venues at Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC). Over 600 male and female athletes are currently participating in the rigorous training sessions led by expert coaches. After the two-week training phase, 485 top performers will be selected to represent Punjab in the National Games scheduled to be held in Karachi from May 1 to 9, 2025.
The athletes are undergoing both morning and evening sessions, focusing on advanced techniques and physical conditioning. Accompanied by Director Admin Dr. M Kaleem, Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum, and other officials, DG Sports also interacted with athletes to review their progress and ensure they are receiving adequate training and accommodations.
