Detectives have promised to continue their efforts

Two men are behind bars after police discovered cocaine and cash during a raid. Detectives have vowed to continue their war on drugs in South Cheshire after Jack Peberdy and Brad Plant were hauled before the courts. Chester Crown Court heard how a warrant had been executed at an address on Hightown in Crewe back on June 20, 2024.

During the warrant officers recovered 'snap bags' of cocaine - worth £1,000 - along with empty snap bags, scales and £1,315 in cash. Cheshire Police say a subsequent investigation revealed Peberdy, aged 22, and 20-year-old Plant had been supplying drugs in Nantwich . The defendants both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine).

During a crown court hearing earlier this week Peberdy, of Vincent Street, Crewe, was handed a 27-month jail term while Plant was sentenced to 24 months. A spokesperson for Crewe CID said: "This is one of many successful warrants we have carried out to take illegal drugs off the streets of east Cheshire and will continue in our relentless effort to disrupt drugs coming into our towns and villages."
