Red Bull slipped to third in the Constructors' Championship standings after having a weekend to forget at the Mexican Grand Prix . Max Verstappen could only finish in sixth place after receiving two 10-second penalties for running Lando Norris off the road twice. Norris was attempting to overtake Verstappen around the outside at Turn Four but the Dutchman braked late and forced the McLaren wide.
Moments later, he launched a dive down the inside at Turn Eight which saw both drivers run off the track. Sergio Perez , meanwhile, picked up some bodywork damage while battling Liam Lawson early on and finished outside the points. The 34-year-old appears to be facing a battle to keep his seat next season and will be desperate to improve in the final four races.
