There is McLaren’s pace dominance as the backdrop, but front and centre is Oscar Piastri ’s faultless weekend so far — he will start on pole today, while his championship-leading teammate Lando Norris could only make the third row. In fact, it was an untidy qualifying all round in Sakhir yesterday. We’ll be diving into that too.
