Eynesbury Rovers concede two late goals to lose at Leicester Nirvana

Eynesbury Rovers were left disappointed after a last-gasp defeat against Leicester Nirvana.

In a dramatic finish, Rovers conceded an equaliser in the 90th minute and a controversial winner in the 96th minute, despite having a one-goal lead and playing with 10 men for the final 30 minutes of the match. The away team started positively, going ahead in the second minute thanks to Nathan Mullings, who scored his first league goal of the season. Mullings slotted the ball home following a shot from Jordan Stevenson, which was parried by Nirvana's goalkeeper, Dan Farrell.

However, Leicester equalised just five minutes later with Shaquille Master's 18-yard shot finding the back of the net. Rovers had their chances to regain the lead, but Mullings' shot was off target.



Just before half-time, Nirvana came close to taking the lead, but Roach managed to punch away a corner kick, preventing an overhead kick from Lynus King from crossing the line. Eynesbury regained the lead in the 57th minute thanks to Jordan Stevenson. However, the tide turned for Rovers just a minute later when Stevenson was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

In the 90th minute, a shot from Erald Memaj rebounded off Roach and into the path of Jorrin John, who fired in the equaliser. Things worsened for Rovers in the sixth minute of stoppage time when Lynus King scored from a corner kick.

Eynesbury complained that Roach had been impeded, but the goal stood, leaving Eynesbury Rovers with a bitter defeat..
