Extinction Rifts Is Joining the Steam Next Fest

Shoot Them Down in Extinction RiftsQUByte Interactive has announced that its upcoming title, Extinction Rifts will join the Steam Next Fest with an exclusive demo. Players will finally get to dive into the fast-paced FPS from 24 February to 3 March. But here is the twist, they won’t have to wait till the event starts as the demo will be available on the platform from 21 February onwards.

Extinction Rifts is a fast-paced FPS set in a dystopian world on the brink of collapse. Armed with the powerful Adreno-Gauntlet, you’ll hunt down and destroy monoliths that threaten humanity’s future. Every battle pushes you deeper into a fight for survival, where speed and strategy are the keys to saving civilization.



This game draws inspiration from the classic PlayStation 1-era FPS games. It combines long-range shooting with unlockable weapons and a melee combat system that becomes more powerful as you build combos. In 2024, the game entered closed playtesting, giving selected players like you a chance to try it out and share feedback.

Every suggestion and insight helped shape the mechanics, refining the experience to make it smoother and more polished for everyone.Extinction Rifts will be coming out in 2025 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
