The deep-lying playmaker is also thought to be a target of Zamalek in Egypt. The name of Salum has been linked with Chiefs for quite some time now with obvious links to him. Although currently at FC Azam in Tanzania, he was previous under the tutelage of Nasreddine Nabi and Cedric Kaze at Yanga SC .

The attacking midfielder was also subject to interest from rivals Mamelodi Sundowns during the previous window but a deal did not materialise. Ex-Pirates coach to steal him away for Simba? According to Soccer-Laduma , they’re preparing an opening bid for Salum! ‘A top priority for the Cape Town (Davids) native during this window is Azam FC midfielder Feisal Salum. Like Simba, the Taifa Stars playmaker has been in good form this season with four goals and nine assists, and according to Rwanda reporter Eric Ndagijimana, the Dar es Salaam-based side is preparing a $230,000 (R4.3 million) bid for the 26-year-old.

’ Wrote the publication. Amakhosi, Sundowns or to Davids? where should he go? The offer from Simba seems well below the R25 million Azam reportedly turned down from Sundowns in the last window. It also falls significantly short of the R15 million Chiefs are thought to be ready to offer for the player.
