
Ashu Jain, the 57-year-old fitness influencer recently spoke candidly to Times if India TV about being unexpectedly eliminated from Roadies XX: Double Cross. She expressed how she’s very grateful to be a part of the show ans yet how many from the audience thought she wasn’t deserving enough for the show.  In the interview, Ashu shared that a few people questioned her involvement, terming her as "undeserving" because of her age.
She openly admitted, "I was just a grandma for them," indicating the biases she faced from some quarters. She shared, “I was introduced as a vaat in the show and even if I wasn’t as strong as some of the contestants, I was still decent like many. The only regret I feel is the fact that u didn’t get a chance to prove my worth.
” Looking back at her family's reaction to being on the show, Ashu said that they were in shock. "They were shell-shocked when I informed them that I'm appearing on the show. My son even mocked me when they came to know that I'm chosen.
All in all, everybody was extremely pleased, and that is what counts," she said. Ashu's elimination raised controversies among fans as well as the contestants. She was disappointed about her journey getting terminated before she could even try to display her talent.
"I had come in with so much energy and wished to display my talent, but fate had some other plans for me," Ashu said. In spite of the early exit, Ashu's entry has been described as motivational, pushing against conventional norms of age and ability. The fans have praised her grit, with several of them being disappointed by her elimination and requesting that she return to the competition as a wildcard entry.
