WARNING: The following article contains potential spoilers for the new Christmas special of Gavin & Stacey The Gavin and Stacey Christmas special 2024 filming is well underway as hundreds of fans have flocked to Barry to catch a glimpse of the highly anticipated sitcom's filming. But some of the scenes for the festive special, due to air on Christmas day, are out of sight for even the most persistent superfan. Scenes that took place outside of Barry Island and Trinity Street in the town are less accessible.

The bus is full of the key cast with Robert Wilfort and Rob Brydon right at the front as characters Bryn and Jason. The behind-the-scenes glimpse also shows the coach getting stuck in the mud and having to be towed out. We're not sure if that's reality or fiction - but it will make a good anecdote for the upcoming documentary planned to go with the finale.
Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman aka Pam and Mick, are also spotted on the bus and Mathew Horne taking a nap in front of his on-screen parents.
