In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, Raj Nidimoru of Raj and DK fame, spoke about Indianizing the template of the series while adapting an international title.
The director told the publication, “I don’t think we looked at it like, will global audience get it. Because I felt like when we made The Family Man, we didn’t think of the global audience at that point." Raj added, “And we were watching it in LA to the crowd that we didn’t think of when we made The Family Man and saw how they understood and received it.
We realized that as long as you stay true to what you’re making, we don’t have a design specifically for global audience, especially these days when we are able to consume all kinds of content from any country. We didn’t feel like we should specifically do a layer to it or, or design it in such a way that global audience are going to get it. We wanted to focus on making the right product and let it, you know, travel.
It’s a spy universe.” And Samantha spoke about working with the director duo and said, “I think that every time I work with them on a project, there’s a new facet that I discover and that I get to tap into, because they while they’re really, really sweet, they’re also hard taskmasters, and they tend to, like, really push you to deliver your best, which is a great thing.”.
