Hallmark Admiral Court Luxury Care Home will be part of the event in 2025, which is created by Havens hospices and Wild in Art, and backed by the Echo. The trail will feature 30 large penguin sculptures and baby penguins around the city of Southend in summer 2025. The "outstanding" rated care home took part in last year's Herd in The City art trail and saw the positive impact it had on residents and staff.
Sarah Savidge, lifestyles team leader at Hallmark Admiral Court, said: "We couldn’t pass up the chance to have a penguin. "Our theme is a secret at the moment, but it will provoke reminiscence, so it will be a great conversational piece which will give our residents the chance to look back." The care home has three mood board designs submitted, and residents will soon vote for the chosen name and design.
