Excavation begins at Wedge Detention Basin in Flagstaff

Excavation will begin on the Wedge Detention Basin project located at the intersection of East Cedar Avenue and Linda Vista Drive, the city announced on Thursday. The detention basin will hold excess stormwater runoff that would otherwise overwhelm the box culvert being installed along Linda Vista Drive. The basin is designed to fill with water and then slowly release it back into the city’s stormwater management system when it is safe to do so.
