A man tragically lost his life this morning (Sunday, April 6) following a three-car crash near Birmingham city centre . Three other people were hurt in the collision on A45 Small Heath Highway in Birmingham in the early hours. West Midlands Police confirmed that their injuries are not life threatening.
The road was closed in both directions for around 10-hours following the crash. Buses were diverted away from the scene as investigators worked in the area. And now 12-hours on, here is everything we know so far about the tragedy.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix confirmed that investigation work was carried out from B4145 Golden Hillock Road (Poets Corner) to Coventry Road (Heybarnes Circus). When did it happen? The collision happened at around 12.
