Soap star brothers Adam and Ryan Thomas will be hosting a new gameshow together, titled 99 To Beat. The first episode is set to air this weekend, leading ITV's Saturday night TV before Britain’s Got Talent and The 1% Club. Here is all you need to know about the new series.

The eight-part series will see contestants against each other in a variety of challenges. After every game, those who lose must leave the competition until the last remaining player claims the top prize, having beaten the other 99 contestants.



As the show says, the only goal is not to come last. Who are Adam and Ryan Thomas? Adam and Ryan Thomas as brothers and have both enjoyed successful acting and TV careers. Adam is best known for his roles as Donte Charles in the BBC One drama series and Adam Barton in the ITV soap .

He has also appeared as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and I'm a Celebrity...

Get Me Out of Here!, the latter of which he finished third. Ryan is known for playing the role of Jason Grimshaw on ITV soap and Rafael Humphreys in Australian soap Neighbours. Like Adam he has also appeared in other shows, and notably won Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing on Ice.

The new gameshow is their first presenting role as a duo. Speaking previously on hosting together, they said: "It’s new, it’s fresh, it’s fun and we can’t wait for people to see it. “It really is the ultimate family show, and so we couldn’t be more excited to be hosting it together, as a family.

“It’s a dream come true for us. We can already imagine people at home playing these games with their families as it’s fun/silly/competitive and heartfelt.” How to watch 99 To Beat 99 To Beat airs begins on ITV1 and ITVX this Saturday, March 22, at 6pm.

The preview for the first episode reads: “Adam and Ryan Thomas host as 100 ordinary people compete in a series of simple games to win a cash prize, all they have to do is not finish in last place. “In the first episode, the contestants are tasked with sitting down on an exercise ball whilst blindfolded, successfully stacking a slinky on their forehead without using their hands and balancing a drinks can at a 45-degree angle.”.
