Everyone is welcome to try their hand at bowls at open day

It will be held at Wellworthy Sports and Social Club, Dumbarton Road, Wyke Regis, DT4 9BY, on Saturday, April 12 from 10am to 4pm. Anyone who is interested in trying out bowls for themselves is welcome to come along on the day to the club. Wellworthy, known locally as Wellies, has the only bowls facility in the Weymouth & Portland area offering both indoor and outdoor bowls at the same venue.

A spokesman for the club said: "We have a varied fixture list of games to play outdoors from the end of April through till October with space for new members to join in. "And plans are already in place for a variety of Indoor fixtures from October onwards. "Anyone living in easy reach of Wellworthy who is interested in playing bowls is welcome to join us.
