Just last year friends and NFL reporters Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews admitted to making up reports on the spot during games. During a 2022 episode of the podcast they share, Thompson admitted to making up reports and claiming she "hasn't been fired" for admitting it before. She made the revelation while discussing an interview she did with former Lions coach Rod Marinelli.
“I was like, ‘Oh coach what adjustments are you gonna make at halftime?’” Thompson said. “He goes, ‘That’s a great perfume you’re wearing.’ I was like, ‘Oh [expletive], this isn’t gonna work.
’ I’m not kidding, I made up a report.” Kirby Lee-Imagn Images Andrews admitted she does the same. “I’ve done that too.
For a coach that I didn’t wanna throw under the bus because he was telling me all the wrong stuff.” Both later clarified their comments, but now a new accusation has dropped against Andrews. During a conversation with Jared Goff, Andrews talked about the inclement weather both teams were forced to fight through.

" Her comments rubbed one person the wrong way. Meteorologist Sam Kuffel took to social media suggesting that Andrews "made up" the weather report - likely to make Goff's accomplishments during the game sound more impressive. "Begging Erin Andrews to stop making up weather alerts," Kuffel said.
