Earlier on Friday, the Reds announced that the Egypt winger has signed a two-year extension at Anfield. Salah was into the final few months of his deal before agreeing fresh terms.
The 32-year-old was set to become a free agent in June, with speculations linking him to Saudi Arabia. When asked about the role that he played, as manager, in convincing Salah to stay put, Slot said: “I am part of the process but I don’t deserve the compliments, it’s Mo, his agent and then FSG, Richard (Hughes), they all put the effort, which means money!” After laughing at his remark, he added: “But also effort. What it might tell you is that it is not only a good season now we want more next season and Mo is convinced we can do so.
So that is positive for us.” Related Topics: Arne Slot EPL liverpool Salah Don't Miss Champions League: Barça to pay English side £10m if they win trophy this season You may like EPL: Onuachu to face late fitness test ahead Southampton vs Aston Villa EPL: Salah ends speculation about Liverpool future, signs two-year contract EPL: Nuno ruled out Aina from Nottingham Forest vs Everton EPL: He’s strong – Merson advises Arsenal target to join Man Utd EPL: Awoniyi set for late call in Forest, Everton match EPL: Paul Merson predicts Man Utd vs Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, others Advertise About Us Contact Us Privacy-Policy Terms Copyright © Daily Post Media Ltd.
