Ratcliffe’s latest comments come amid talk that the Red Devils had already given up on trying to be champions in time for the club’s 150th anniversary. Upon his arrival at Old Trafford last summer, Chief executive, Omar Berrada announced that they had set his sights on lifting the title by 2028 to celebrate the landmark date.

However, amid United’s issues with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, sky-high debt and struggles on the pitch, reality was said to have kicked in. The board believes Ruben Amorim is working “with his hands tied behind his back”, having inherited a poor squad. But Ratcliffe has not given up on his ambition however.

“I don’t think it’s mission impossible. I think it’s good to have goals and objectives, Ratcliffe told BBC. “If you look at Arsenal, if you look at Liverpool, if you look at the period of time it took them to get the house in order and get back to winning ways, that’s probably slightly on the short end of the spectrum.

But it’s not impossible.” Related Topics: Amorim EPL man utd Ratcliffe Don't Miss Champions League: Arne Slot names ‘most complete team’ Liverpool has played You may like Why we terminated Alex Ferguson’s contract – Man Utd co-owner, Jim Ratcliffe I’m happy Rashford left Man Utd – Jim Ratcliffe Amorim doing really good job, will be at Man Utd for long time – Ratcliffe EPL: Arteta to sell four Arsenal players to complete Osimhen deal EPL: We made a mistake – United co-owner Ratcliffe on sacking Ten Hag Wayne Rooney urges Arsenal to hijack Man United transfer move for 27-year-old EPL striker Advertise About Us Contact Us Privacy-Policy Terms Copyright © Daily Post Media Ltd.
