The meeting is expected to be attended by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Sir Dave Brailsford, chief executive, Omar Berrada, sporting director, Dan Ashworth and technical director, Jason Wilcox. They were all at Villa Park to watch the Red Devils play out a 0-0 draw with Aston Villa last Sunday.

Co-chairman Joel Glazer, who along with Ratcliffe and Brailsford forms the key decision-making trinity, will also be at the summit. Ten Hag is under immense pressure at Old Trafford and former Chelsea and Bayern Munich coach, Thomas Tuchel, is being linked with the job. An ex-United midfielder, Michael Carrick, who is currently managing Middlesbrough in the Championship is another name in the frame.
