Tech entrepreneurs from Guernsey have been promoting the island at a European web conference. Six Guernsey-based firms attended the Web Summit Lisbon 2024 at a stand run by Digital Greenhouse. The States-backed innovation hub said its stand, at one of the world's largest tech conferences, promoted the island's "vibrant start-up ecosystem", as well as the "advantages Guernsey offers to entrepreneurs and businesses".
A spokesperson said: "One of the key messages we shared at web summit was the success of businesses that have emerged from Guernsey's ecosystem." The spokesperson said the six businesses that attended came from sectors including health-tech and marine-tech, and reflected the "breadth of innovation" coming out of the island..
