PSALM 1:1-3 KJV says “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”.
GENESIS 17:6-9 NLT says “I will make you extremely fruitful. Your descendants will become many nations, and kings will be among them! 7 I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants[a] after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.
8 And I will give the entire land of Canaan, where you now live as a foreigner, to you and your descendants. It will be their possession forever, and I will be their God. 9 Then God said to Abraham, “Your responsibility is to obey the terms of the covenant.
You and all your descendants have this continual responsibility”. LEVITICUS 26:9-12 AMPLIFIED says “For I will turn toward you [with favor and regard] and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will establish and confirm My covenant with you. 10 You will eat the old supply of [abundant] produce and clear out the old [to make room] for the new.
11 I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject nor separate itself from you. 12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people”. INTRODUCTION: You were redeemed to be fruitful and productive in whatever you do.
WHAT IS FRUITFULNESS? Fruitfulness means to produce desired results. Fruitfulness means to produce beneficial results. Fruitfulness means to be resultful in whatever you do.
Fruitfulness means to be prosperous. You can produce desired results. There is an ability introduced in your life to produce desired results; it is the life of God in you.
You are like a well-watered garden, fruitful always. You are the fruit bearing part of God’s vine, producing durable fruits. You are standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life.
That’s who you are; embrace this truth and walk in confidence in your business, job, career, etc. HOW TO BE FRUITFUL 1. DEVELOP SUCCESS AND PRODUCTIVITY MENTALITY: “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
..” Proverbs Just as the scripture above says, you are exactly who you think you are.
Your life is a product of your thoughts. I have often heard people say, “you are what you eat”, but you are also what you think. This cannot be emphasized enough! Your thought matters in whatever you do in life! People usually say things like, “I’ll start this business and see what happens next or where life takes us from there”.
How in the world can a Christian talk like that? NO! You are the one to determine where you go next! Take your mind from the floor and see from above! What you have in mind will determine what comes out of your mouth and what comes out of your mouth is what shapes your life. The journey to true success, fruitfulness and productivity requires the right mentality. If reality must change, mentality must change first! If profitability and productivity must change, mentality must change.
Growth, fruitfulness and success in life answer largely to mentality. This is because, no man can arrive at a future he or she cannot see. It is important for us to know that what we think is very vital to what becomes of us.
Any person, community or nation that does not experience a mental transformation will not experience the fullness of their potential and destiny. Nothing changes until your mind changes! WHAT KIND OF MIND DO YOU HAVE? True success, progress and prosperity begins within your mind. If you must succeed in your life, business, job, family or finance, it must begin from your mind.
What you see and how you think matters! How you see yourself matters! Most people have been taught adaptation to lack, to build their lives around small things. What many in the world have not figured out is that what you see is not just what you get, but what you see with the eyes of your mind is what you get. And even when it seems like it didn’t happen that way, then you use words.
WHAT ARE THOUGHTS? • Thoughts are things. • Thoughts are pictures. • Thoughts are seeds.
• Thoughts are weapons. The human mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild. But whether cultivated or neglected, it must and will bring forth fruits.
If no useful seeds are put into it, then an abundance of useless weed seeds will fall, accumulate and will reproduce their own kind. The mind attracts that which it secretly harbors, loves or fears, as we see in Job 3:25-26 KJV “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, And that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; Yet trouble came.
” People often say “hope for the best and expect the worst” and that is why the worst will always come. They think if they reduce their expectation, they can manage disappointment whilst somewhere hidden in their heart, they think the universe will have mercy on them, and give them the best. God doesn’t operate that way.
Be real with Him for the Bible says the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short. Every thought-seed sown or allowed to fall into the mind will grow and bear fruit. Until thought is linked with purpose, there is no fruitful accomplishment.
All that we achieve and all that we fail to achieve is the direct result of our thoughts. You may wonder, “HOW DO I CHANGE THE WAY I THINK?” Well, that’s what I am here for. Do not panic or add more worry.
ROMANS 12:2 GNT says “Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect”. The King James Version renders it as “the renewing of your mind”.
Yes, your mind has to be renewed. The failed system of the world causes people to have a mindset of failure, a mindset where it is normal for things not to work well, but that is not the natural order of things. That was never God’s original plan.
That’s why when you come to Christ, you have to renew your mind. This is because when you got born again, it was your spirit that was renewed, but your mind remained the same. Therefore, you must now use the Word of God to align your mind in line with God’s thoughts.
The mind is the key to life; therefore, your mental state is more important than your physical state. You must work on being instead of having, because when you become in your mind, then you will have. It will not happen once, give it time, but keep on pumping yourself with Gods Word.
One of such ways is to keep up with us every Sunday as we take you on a journey in fulfilling Gods purpose for your life. The first step is to be born again. Kind say this prayer aloud; “O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Your word says,”...
whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2v21). I ask Jesus to come into my heart to be the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit and according to Roman 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”, I declare that I am saved; I am born-again; I am a child of God! I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)! I now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ Jesus.
Hallelujah!” Congratulations! Join us next week as we teach you on “The power of your tongue as it concerns your fruitfulness”. GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY.
