Lisa and Dominic have been on our screens for decades Lisa Riley has sent a message to her co-star Dominic Brunt. The actress plays the role of Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale alongside Dominic, who portrays Paddy Kirk. In the ITV soap they play a married couple, after tying the knot last year.
However, the journey was not easy for Mandy and Paddy after Paddy's dad Bear discovered Mandy's side hustle. He decided to pretend to be a client of hers and managed to expose Mandy’s secret in front of Chas, Paddy and Marlon. After discussing their past mistakes, the couple decided to go ahead with the wedding.
The occasion was very last minute but friends and family were in attendance for the ceremony. Lisa wrote a heartfelt message to her friend and colleague on Instagram, alongside a series of photo of the two, she wrote: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOMANICA. I want to send you a big birthday squeeze-you know I love the bones of you.
"Hope you enjoy your special day-I will see you soon. To the best Work Husband anyone could ask for-thank you for the laughs..

.and even more laughs!!! @dominicbrunt." Showing her appreciation for Dominic further, she uploaded a message to her Instagram story too.
The actress continued: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the BEST work husband in the world - love the bones of you!! @DominicBrunt ENJOY YOUR SPECIAL DAY." Fans of the long-standing Emmerdale stars shared Happy Birthday messages for the Paddy Kirk star in the comments. Leanne wrote: "Happy Birthday Dominic.
Lovely photo." Another comment was "You're always both so brilliant" and a third account wrote "Happy birthday Dominic (Paddy) have a great day!" Many fans left party and balloon emojis. Dominic first made his appearance in Emmerdale back in 1997.
Since joining, the vet has been at the centre of numerous storylines with many romances and the loss of a child. He has been married five times, with his latest marriage to Mandy Dingle. Off-screen the 55-year-old is married to actress Joanne Mitchell.
Joanne has had several roles on both Emmerdale and Coronation Street . The two met while studying drama in Bristol and tied the knot in 2003. They are now parents to two sons, Mickey-Joe and Danny Lee.
Joanne played the role of Sandra Flaherty, mum and step-mum to Liv Flaherty (Izzy Steel) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). Joanne has featured in award-winning shows and spoke to Inside Soap in 2022 about her experience working on the same show as her husband Dominic. She said: "I haven't seen Dominic at the studios yet since I've been back this time.
It's fun to be on the same show but I've not actually worked with him yet. We haven't had any scenes together as our characters live separate lives in the village.".
