Emmerdale have released an explosive first look of next week's episode

Emmerdale fans are in for a shock as fresh spoilers reveal Joe Tate's error in the upcoming episodes of the soap opera. Recently, viewers witnessed Joe arranging for his uncle Caleb Miligan to be stabbed — a harrowing plot aimed at stealing his kidney, which Joe desperately needed for a transplant. While Caleb has been kept in the dark, believing that Joe is his saviour after being first on the scene and finding him a private doctor who 'had' to remove his kidney because of the stabbing, Joe is actually behind the vile act.

On Friday's episode, Joe makes his way back to the village following a recovery period in Dubai after the transplant. And a sneak peek into next week, aired on Friday's ITV vodcast Off Script, presenters Kelvin and Liz Fletcher provided a glimpse into an intriguing moment from next week's Emmerdale. The preview clip displayed Joe collecting his coat from Caleb's house through his daughter Steph, where he accidentally drops his tablets —swiftly gathering them up just before Caleb enters the room.

Pondering over the blunder, Kelvin, 41, queried: "What did he drop?" to which Liz revealed: "His tablets!", prompting Kelvin to conjecture: "Oh...

they're probably the same tablets that Caleb is on, no wonder he ran out! That was a close call!" In the upcoming episodes, the Miligan family are concerned about Joe's meddling in their business, leading Caleb to invite Joe over for lunch in an attempt to keep his enemies closer, reports Leeds Live . During this visit, Joe realises he's left his coat behind, which contains his pills. When he retrieves the jacket, the tablets fall out, sparking Caleb's suspicion and determination to uncover Joe's interest in his family.

Later that day, at the depot, Caleb devises a plan and dismantles a light fixture in his office as a ruse to isolate Noah Dingle, who was previously drugged by Joe in a failed attempt to secure his kidney. As Noah fixes the light fixture, Caleb subtly probes him about his half-brother Joe. Upon hearing Noah's recollections of his hallucinations of Joe while spiked, Caleb's suspicions intensify as he delves deeper into his investigation.
