Camille and Clement Ducol took home the Golden Globe for Best Song in the film for their song ‘El Mal’ from Emilia Perez marking another big win for the Netflix pic. The song was one of two nominations in the category and Camille, who wrote the song and spoke for the duio, said these types of songs are needed if if the subject matter is not very bright. “Songs are butterflies and we need butterflies even if its to denounce corruption in the world, so first off, thank you to all singer/songwriters in the world,” Camille said.

The other nominees in the category included the other Emilia Perez song “Mi Camino”, “Kiss the Sky” from Wild Robot, “Beautiful That Way” from The Last Showgirl, “Compress/Repress” from Challengers and “Forbidden Road” from Better Man. Camille went on to thank director Jacques Audidard for being a visionary as well as the films two stars, Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofia Gascon, saying the song wouldn’t be the same without them. “You shake the house and shake our souls,” she screamed.



This marked the third Globe win of the night for Emilia Perez, with Saldana also taking home a prize as well as best non-English film..
