Up-and-coming indie bands will take centre stage at Boltstock 2025. Held at the Roundhouse in Halliwell , the event will take place on Saturday, September 19. The event, in its third year, is a showcase for young, independently formed, original bands who give their time and effort freely to support this years charity, Backup Northwest, who help young people who are homeless to be safe, stable and develop skills for independence.
(Image: UGC) Hosted by Bolton FM’s Rachel Darne, who promotes fresh new musical talent on her show, the event features some talented, young, independent local bands from the North West, playing their own brand of indie and rock-based music . The Lakes, F3INT , The Velvetines and Radio Addicts billed as aspirational, young, powerful bands will be performing on the night. With a mix of self-penned songs , organisers say will have the audience cheering throughout.
The Lakes are a tight, contemporary indie band, F3INT produce their own brand of technical, contemporary alt-rock, whilst The Velvetines are great, upbeat modern indie and the pseudo-punk style musings of Radio Addicts. With catch-laden songs provided by all four bands throughout the night, organisers say that "you’ll be singing them for weeks afterwards and reliving the experience over and over". Rachel said: ""I'm honoured to be asked to host such an important event in Bolton.
These young bands deserve a break and a chance to show off what they can do. Young people are the future of music." Starting at 7pm and running until late, the event is open to any age group, but under 16s will need accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are available online, at The Roundhouse or Booths Music and people can pay on the door too. Tickets are £8.00 and will be helping make someone’s life better.
