Tech mogul Elon Musk has seemingly approved Donald Trump 's decision to make Susie Wiles his chief of staff . The 53-year-old SpaceX founder took to his beloved social media platform, X (formerly Twitter) , to react to the news that Wiles has landed one of the top spots in the White House . Quoting a New York Post article reporting on the news, Musk, who fans claim has been "adopted" by the Trumps , gushed: "Susie Wiles is great," seemingly showing approval of Trump's first major appointment of his second administration.

"Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns," Trump shared in a statement released on Thursday. "Susie is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected," he added.

"I have no doubt that she will make our country proud," he concluded. Wiles is the daughter of the late football player and broadcaster Pat Summerall. She first worked in national politics in 1980, joining Republican Ronald Reagan's successful campaign as a scheduler.
